Residence Inn by Marriott Decatur Forsyth

Maggie was awesome and she was a great receptionist. She was very friendly and always greeted us at the door everytime. Rooms were clean and the stay was very welcoming

Stayed here for Farm Progress Show. The staff (Maggie and Blue) were phenomenal even though they had a full house. The rooms were so clean and comfortable. It was such a comfortable stay. I slept so well after our long days at the show!

Awesome staff and very clean rooms. Harley and Maggie at the front desk are truly amazing!!! 10/10 customer service from these ladies with smiles and great attitudes. I travel a lot for work and this Marriott is top notch. Very attentive and accommodating.

Overall experience at this hotel was amazing. The decor is incredible. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed to cook a nice dinner. Bring your own pot if you're cooking for more than one person. Bed was super comfortable. Lots of room for three people. Staff here was courteous, kind, helpful, and friendly. Breakfast was top-notch. Only reason for four stars, was because we came here to swim, pool smelled and water tasted strange. Definitely not chlorinated enough and tiles surrounding the pool were grimy and moldy. Once they fix that problem, and the pool matches the newly renovated hotel, it will be five stars for sure!

Great location. How ever bathroom switch plate was broken. Pool could have been a little warmer. next day no towels in pool also still has towels from the day before. Breakfast sucked milk was warm , coffee wasn't ready. Maybe offer variety of flavored creamer.

I stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn in Forsyth Decatur Illinois during a very difficult time for my family. We were in town for our aunt’s funeral and when we arrived our rooms were not available even though we had been told three days prior that everything was confirmed. I was very stressed because I needed to get dressed for the service. Then Valerie stepped in and truly saved the day. She immediately went into action and contacted Crystal, and together they were able to not only secure my room but my twin sister’s room as well. They even made sure we could get breakfast and have time to get ready so that we could attend the funeral on time. Their level of compassion and customer care meant so much to us. Valerie and Crystal went above and beyond the call of duty and made us feel cared for on a day that was already heavy for our family. We are deeply grateful for the exceptional service and kindness they showed. Thank you to the staff for having wonderful people like Valerie and Crystal on your team.

rooms were impressive as it was just for 1 person, but could have fit a family. housekeeping is every other day, which is probably m-w-f. didn't request any this trip. there was complementary breakfast from 6-9. and the front desk was always nice. guessing that accommodations closer to UI were booked, which added an hour drive each way, each day. it is what it is.

Cool room breakfast was standard. Check in staff very helpful.
